This mechanical disk caliper is cable actuated and can be used with your existing v-brake leavers and cable inner and outers.  In otherwords, simply remove your v-brakes and attach the disk brake caliper to your bike frame or fork's disk mount tables.  Connect the brake cable and away you go.
